Central Junior High Title 1 Parent Involvement Policy

Title I Parent Involvement Policy

Central Junior High 2025-2026

Central Jr. High is committed to providing a quality education for every child as well as establishing a partnership with parents. Shared responsibility for high student performance, open communication, and ongoing parental involvement are essential for student success. The goal at Central Jr. High is for students to achieve academic, social, and emotional growth; with the help of parents.

Central Jr. High is required to have an annual parent meeting to notify and inform parents that Central Jr. High is a school wide Title I site. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and inquire about parental rights and responsibilities. Parents will be invited to attend our site meeting in order to learn about Title 1 policies and program goals. Central Jr. High will provide other opportunities to involve parents and strengthen the home-school connection. Multiple communications about required parent involvement evenings (fall and spring) are sent out to encourage parent involvement and attendance.

A Parent-Student-School Compact will be signed and acknowledged to formally recognize the importance of working together as partners in the educational process. It is the goal of Central Jr. High to provide instruction and support to students, so they will achieve the State Standards, as well as maximize learning and academic potential.

Communication between parents and teachers will be maintained throughout the school year. Parents are encouraged to attend conferences. Parents will be encouraged to contact teachers, set up, and attend conferences with teachers in order to participate in decisions relating to the education of their child. Parents receive frequent academic progress reports and student assessment results (when available). Planned parent activities provide access to the school and allow a window into their child's education.

Parents and staff will be encouraged to be involved in planning, reviewing, and improving the Title 1 program and plan. Needs assessments and program evaluation surveys will be conducted in the spring of each school year. These assessment surveys are analyzed and utilized to guide the revision of the Title 1 School Plan for the following year at Central Jr. High.
